"Miss Hill: Making Dance Matter," directed by Greg Vander Veer
Dr. McPherson worked on the film "Miss Hill Making Dance Matter" as a consultant and member of the producing board as well as appearing in the film.
"Making a documentary about a well-known figure from the creative side of the performing arts — an actor, a singer, a writer — is easy, and common. Making one about any of the countless people who further the arts from behind the scenes is more difficult. “Miss Hill: Making Dance Matter” is such a documentary, advancing the idea that Martha Hill was as important a figure in modern dance in the last century as any of the art form’s better-known names.."
-- Neil Genzlinger, The New York Times (2015)
"A little-known pioneering figure of modern dance is given well-deserved biographical treatment in Greg Vander Veer‘s documentary about Martha Hill, a visionary who was a principal figure in bringing the art form to academia. Bound to enthrall dance aficionados with its copious amounts of wonderful archival footage, Miss Hill: Making Dance Matter more than lives up to its title."
--Frank Schleck, The Hollywood Reporter (2015)
